Description (Service)

The society works to research, collect, document and preserve pioneer information in the Township of Nassagaweya, and to share those findings with interested parties. 

  • Nassagaweya Township is in the north west quadrant of Halton County 
  • Halton County formerly referred to as the townships of Nassagaweya, Esquesing, Trafalgar and Nelson before becoming regional goverment
  • Nasagiweya is the original spelling translated to "between the waters"

  • meetings are held the second Tue of each month at 7:30 pm, Mar-Dec at Nassagaweya Presbyterian Church unless otherwise notified

Archives at Nassagaweya Tennis Center and Community Hall, Campbellville, open every third Sat, 12 noon-3 pm

Boundaries Nassagaweya Township (was the Northwest quadrant of Halton County), now part of The Town of Milton. Area covered is Puslinch/Nassagaweya Townline west boundary, Nassagaweya/Esquesing Townline West, North to south side of Eden Mills/Rockwood Road and south to north side of Conservation Road (formerly known as Steeles Avenue) - reference to (Historical 1877 Atlas)
