Description (Service)

A snow windrow is the pile of snow that is left at the bottom of a driveway after the snow plow has cleared the road

  • the windrow clearing program helps residents of Oakville who are unable to clear the windrow on their own
  • applications will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis during two application phases and capped to a maximum of 1,100 driveways

  • Registration is open from Sep 2 to Nov 1, 2024, in two phases (registration will close early if program capicity is reached before Nov 1)

Eligibility Open to all residents of Oakville with priority given to residents 65 years of age or older, residents with a physical disability or medical condition, or residents with no able-bodied person under the age of 65 living at their residence

Program registration completed in two phases:

Phase 1

  • Priority registration is available only to residents 65 years of age or older, or residents with a physical disability or medical condition, or residents with no able-bodied person under the age of 65 living at their residence
  • Priority registration opens on September 2 and will close on September 30

Phase 2

  • General public registration will be available to all residents (including those described under Phase 1: Priority registration), on a first-come, first-served bases up to a maximum of 1,100 total program applicants
  • General public registration opens on October 7 and will close on November 1, or earlier if program capacity has been reached

Fees Service ; Priority registration - $102 + HST * General public registration - $118 + HST * once the application is processed the fee is non-refundable regardless of the number of snow events
