September 19 – Kathleen Wynne – is a former Canadian politician who served as the 25th premier of Ontario and leader of the Ontario Liberal Party from 2013 to 2018.

October 17 – Bill Redelmeier – Canada’s reigning champion for sustainable viticulture, the farmer-turned-wine-proprietor who has become a leading organics advocate. Bill is the proprietor and founder of Southbrook Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

November 21 – Ken McGoogan –  has published sixteen books, among them six about northern exploration. These include Fatal Passage, Lady Franklin’s Revenge, Dead Reckoning, and Searching for Franklin: New Answers to the Great Arctic Mystery. His talk, “When History Threatens to Rhyme”

2025

January 16 – Dr. Dawn Bowdish – is a Professor (Master University) and the Canada Research Chair in Aging & Immunity. Her lab studies how the microbiota and the innate immune system change with age and how these changes impact healthy/unhealthy aging and increase susceptibility to pneumonia and COVID-19. Her talk, “The Perils of Being Born in the Fall.”

February 20 – Marie Henein – has been described by her legal colleagues as” fearless and brilliant” and “as fine a criminal lawyer as this country has.” The Toronto lawyer is a key go-to barrister for high-profile accused. Marie is the author of the bestselling 2021 memoir, “Nothing but the Truth”.

March 20 – Captain Judy Cameron C.M. – was the first Canadian woman pilot to fly for Air Canada, the second woman to fly for a Canadian commercial airline, the first Canadian female captain of a Boeing 767 and 777.  After 37 years and 23,000 hours, she retired and became a director of the Northern Lights Aero Foundation, that encourages women in aviation and aerospace. Her talk, “The Sky is the Limit-Breaking barriers as Air Canada’s First Female Pilot.” 

April 17 – Paul Berton is an award-winning journalist, writer, editor and public speaker. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Hamilton Spectator. Paul is author of Shopomania: Our Obsession with Possession, published in October 2022, and Misfortune and Fame: 10 Reasons You Don’t Want to Be Rich (or Famous), published October 2023.
