Description (Service)

The first independently run combined film and arts festival to launch in Oakville

  • 2025 Festival is June 18-25th 2025 (12th year) 
  • live and a hybrid festival, with both virtual and live screenings
  • launch of the festival will be on Wed 18th June with a family friendly event and 4 screenings at Film.Ca Cinemas in Oakville. In addition, there will be four screenings at Film.Ca cinemas to close the live festival, on Monday 23 June.  Virtual festival screenings will continue to be available past this date.
  • additional live galas and a full day of programming will be held on at Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts on Thursday 19th June, Friday 20th June, and on National Indigenous Peoples Day Saturday 21 June. In addition, there will be 3 other full screenings at OCPA on Saturday 21 June, beginning at 11 am.
  • festival will also include a full day of screeings on Sunday 22 June in Mississauga, location TBC. From 11 am till 11 pm.
  • virtual screenings available from 18th June until Friday, 27th June.
  • OFFA also has events such as the Sheridan College/PSW to the Rescue Fall and Winter screening series and other events, such as National Canadian Film Day (16th April 2025) and International Womens Day on 2nd March, with a special screening and performances from local female identifying dancers, singers, and instrumentalists
