| Description (Service) |
Ontario Health atHome offers the Total Contact Cast at no cost to eligible patients with diabetic foot ulcers * used to treat patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers and Charcot Neuroarthropathy * promotes healing by minimizing pressure and shear at wound site * healing times are reduced to about six weeks, compared to months or years with conventional wound dressings * eligible patients (assessed by Ontario Health atHome Coordinator) may receive the services at one of the community nursing clinics within the Mississauga Halton region |
