Description and Service Details

Description (Service)

Adult day program * social and recreational activities for people with acquired brain injury in a group setting for part of the day * provides a fun and enriching environment in which to increase socialization and engagement resulting in an improved quality of life * offers daily respite for both individuals and their families to reduce caregiver burnout * program sessions run approximately 3-6 months depending on location

  • exercise and fitness
  • access to functional skill building activities that promote the re-learning and acquisition of skills that may have been affected by the individual’s brain injury
  • recreational and skill-building groups
  • psychosocial and adjustment groups are offered  by referral only and include Anger Management, Depression Support, Self-esteem Support, ABI education, Communication and Social Skills, Peer Support and Substance Use and Brain Injury (SUBI)
