Description and Service Details

Description (Service) Provides social and recreational activities in a safe, stimulating and encouraging environment * the programs provide assistance with maintaining the highest possible degree of independence and enhanced quality of life * volunteer opportunities available

Programs and services:
  • adult day services for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and/or other cognitive impairments (Circle of Friends)
  • adult day services for clients with physical disabilities, mild cognitive impairments and/or frail health (The Gathering Place)
  • recreation centre for older adults
  • daily specialized exercise programs including falls prevention program (offered by Lifemark)
  • restorative care (therapeutic programs designed to help clients achieve maximum functioning and maintain independence including on to one exercise)
  • one-to-one programs for clients with aphasia
  • dental hygiene services (DirectSmiles)
  • bathing services for adults with cognitive impairments, physical disabilities and/or frail health (offered in partnership with Peel Senior Link)
  • educational sessions provided by professionals in various fields to enhance knowledge of illness, medications, and other topics such as fraud and home safety
  • monthly caregiver info session
  • specialized programs for adults with moderate to severe dementia
