Description (Service)

Falls Prevention Classes  
Free community program focusing on strength, balance, flexibility and endurance in an effort to reduce the risk of falling

  • program is 12 weeks in length and consists of two exercise classes a week
  • program is taught by a regulated healthcare professional (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, RN, RPN or RKin)
  • held at multiple community locations

Exercise Classes  
Free program designed to help seniors stay healthy, safe and strong and promote improved balance, improved strength with prevention of muscle loss, maintenance of strong bones and increased overall independence

  • program offered 48 weeks per year  
  • taught by non-regulated professionals (Occupational Therapist Assistant, Physiotherapist Assistant, or Certified Fitness Instructor)  
  • held at multiple community locations
